This was supposed to be my „Big day”, since I connected for the first time power to my Scomedome installation.
I connected line 1 to a UPS (Fully charged), and line 4 straight to the grid.
But no reaction from the Dome Box. I cycled the ON/OFF switch 2 or 3 times, but nothing happened. The screen remains black, no sings of any activity for the time.
I didn’t connect any computer yet, I just wanted to do a kind of „Dry start”, see if everything is correctly wired.
The Dome serial is 441, but I purchased this Dome second hand from a preowned customer in France, without electronics. (No Arduino command box, no motors, just the Dome)
I purchased the Plug&Play Drive motors, Arduino cards and Cloud sensor separately with You.
I checked the inside of the box, and yes, after a while, I saw a green LED blinking every minute more or less. (56 to 58sec)
So I definitely have power there.
Here are 3 pictures:
IMG-1 is the direct connection 230V to the grid outlet
IMG-2 is the power connection to the UPS.
IMG-3 is where I see the green LED Blinking. It’s the middle LED. Apart of this LED, there is no other sign of activity in the box. (no visible LED, or any relay noise).
On more question: For the time, I have no PC connected to the box. Is this the reason nothing is starting up? Or should the box be alive without any PC, just reacting to the physical switches ?
On the document „ScopeDome_Arduino_Card_Manual_EN.pdf”, page 14, there is an output from the UPS to a transformer 230V/12/ 2A. (Circle 2)
But there is also another output to the card, 12V ? (Circle 1, see attached „page 14.png document”).
I do not have a 12V output on my UPS? Is this a problem?
The Arduino Card is quite busy, but is there any place I can EASILY check a correct tension ? (12 or 230) ?
ADC14 it is input dedicated for measure voltage on your UPS battery. If you do not know how to do it – you can simply do not connect it – it is not neccesary for normal card work.
You can measure tension on 12V card input. the simplest way for 230V measure is on inverter (L1, L2).
