I have been successfully using the ScopeDome 2m for 18 months now, connected to N.I.N.A and there is an error that happens every few nights, usually randomly which is "arduino Command Error".

After that error,  ScopeDome Arduino Dome v10f13 connects back very soon but considers the current position to be Home, it will then move to a wrong target position (offset from that wrong home) to continue acquisition.

That error not being sent to N.I.N.A., I am not alerted about it and continue sleeping.

I haver run out of physical checks (all cables, connections, hubs, etc are good - note that I am connected via ethernet cable).

How can I fix it?

A good enough option for me would be to introduce a kind of standing order like "If Arduino Command Error" then "Find Home' ... Any way to do that ?

I am even thinking of making a widget program scanning my monitor every 5 minutes, searching for the words "arduino Command Error" and sending me a phone alert if they appear ...

I'm joining this discussion, as I have some issue (possibly, the same as for  jybeninger)

I updated to the new Arduino driver 5.5.29. 

I physically connect the Ethernet, (RJ45), and the USB into my computer.

I select USB in the driver config page. Save and sent.

I set the IP address (192.168.1.120 in my case). Save and sent.

I select Ethernet. Save and sent.

I connect to the driver, and it works ok. 

Now the problem: 

Every time I turn OFF the power and back ON again, I lose the Ethernet connection. Message stating "Cannot open IP address"

I need to repeat the whole procedure via USB over. 

Disconnecting the USB after setting the IP address doesn't help, same problem. 

The IP address is set to static in my Internet Box. 

I had the same problem with the old Driver 5.5.27.

My scopedome 2m is installed, working with intermittent faults and software not responding.

I have a basic question, sorry if it is obvious but I really would appreciate if you could clarify:

I am connecting the dome/arduino card through ethernet.

Can I unplug the USB cable? I have a feeling it is creating some interference ...
