This type of error is often caused by power supply issues. Please clean and adjust the pressure of the feed rollers in the base ring.

Arduino Command Error

Good morning,

I have been successfully using the ScopeDome 2m for 18 months now, connected to N.I.N.A and there is an error that happens every few nights, usually randomly which is "arduino Command Error".

After that error, ScopeDome Arduino Dome v10f13 connects back very soon but considers the current position to be Home, it will then move to a wrong target position (offset from that wrong home) to continue acquisition.

That error not being sent to N.I.N.A., I am not alerted about it and continue sleeping.

I haver run out of physical checks (all cables, connections, hubs, etc are good - note that I am connected via ethernet cable).

How can I fix it?

A good enough option for me would be to introduce a kind of standing order like "If Arduino Command Error" then "Find Home' ... Any way to do that ?

I am even thinking of making a widget program scanning my monitor every 5 minutes, searching for the words "arduino Command Error" and sending me a phone alert if they appear ...

I have the following configuration: home made dome with a diameter of 3.02m, Arduino driver from Scopdome, Ioptron cem 120 mount, Askar 185 telescope... from the zero position of the dome it moves in any direction with an accuracy of + or - 3 minutes... the problem occurs when synchronizing with the telescope: if I enter the measured geometric data and do not enter the GEM value = 0 (the measured one is 361mm) the dome moves from position 0 around 22° also even if in position 0 it is centered on the shutter (width is 700mmm) the telescope stops at the edge of the shutter with small differences depending on the x and y values entered... it is probably a geometry problem but I can't figure out where I am wrong. Does anyone have an idea that could help me?

Dear all,

I look for a user - software - manual to deal with parameters such as dome geometry (scope position X, Y, Z, GEM axis offset).
So far I can't find one.

More generally speaking, a user manual that reviews and explains all parameter would be greatly appreciated.

Please check wire no 38 (Close/Com/Open pins ) connection to the inverter.

Shutter open/close issue

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue with shutter.

There is no problem to open/close it manual switches connected to Wireless shutter box. It opens enterely and stops with limit switch, works also fine for close.

However, when using the keyboard of ScopeDome card 2.0, no way to open/close the shutter (of course the shutter link is available).
When pushing both keys, one can hear the relay switch in the Wireless shutter box.

Does anyone have an idea of the issue ?
